What biocompatible dentistry is, and what it is not
It is a way of working that attends to the relationship between the materials used and how each patient’s body responds. It does not replace conventional dentistry or do without its diagnosis: it applies the same criteria while choosing materials with care.
Metal-free materials
Zirconia solves everything from a single crown to a full arch without recourse to metal alloys. It is useful for patients with known sensitivities and for those who would rather avoid them, and at the back of the mouth it offers excellent strength as well.
Removing amalgam
When old amalgam fillings are replaced we use rubber dam isolation, high-volume suction and patient protection, in order to keep exposure during the procedure to a minimum.
Any biocompatible approach starts from the same clinical diagnosis as every other treatment.

Frequently asked questions about this treatment
01 What are the advantages of a zirconia implant over titanium?
Zirconia is ceramic and metal-free, which makes it suitable for patients with a diagnosed sensitivity to metal alloys. Aesthetically it avoids the grey margin that metal substructures can show if the gum recedes. Titanium, for its part, has a longer clinical track record. The choice is made case by case.
02 What is PRGF?
Plasma rich in growth factors: obtained from a sample of the patient’s own blood and applied to the surgical site to speed up healing and reduce post-operative swelling.
03 Does ozone therapy replace a filling?
No. Ozone is a useful antiseptic adjunct in early caries and in surgery, but it does not replace a restoration once tooth structure has been lost.
04 Is this alternative dentistry?
No. It is the same evidence-based dentistry, applying biocompatibility and minimal-intervention criteria to material selection.
